It had started out a quiet day as the black she-wolf walked around her new pack land. Her ears flicking in all directions trying to pick up if there was any sign of danger. As she made her way through her land the thundering sound of the water fall came to her ears. She flicked her ears in the direction of the falls and headed to the pool. The lush vegetation and thick forest made her feel safe but her cautious behavior was always present.
As she pushed her way through a patch of thick bushes and into the small clearing of the falls, she shook herself and walked to the waters edge. She watched for a moment as large fish swam about just under the water's surface. Her lapped at the cool liquid quinchening her thirst and slightly relaxing. This was almost the only time she relaxed.
After the death of her parents she had not allowed herself to relax and the only time that she really seemed to relax was when she was near the falls.
Paranormal's paws bounced as he made his way along the land. he wasn't sure if this was a pack land or not but it was too late to turn back at this point. his ears were pricked, acoustics cupping any faint noise that might come to them. Paranormal wasn't the type of dog to join packs. he liked being on his own.
As he neared one part of the lands, it looked like a water fall, he spied a female sitting there. he hoped whoever ran this land wasn't nasty or mean because that would be very bad for him. he'd have to make a bee line and run. Slowly approaching the female, Para's one blue one green eye was locked on her. When he reached a respectable distance he stopped and planted his rump down on the ground.
"H-Hello there. i'm Paranormal...what's your name?" he asked and waited patiently for her to respond.
The she-wolf looked up at the male that she hadn't noticed coming into the small clearing. Her instincts naturally told her to show her aggression but she had more control over herself than that. Her dark eyes looked the male over as she listened to him speak.
"I'm Lyca, nice to meet you." the she-wolf said.
The black she-wolf got to her feet and faced the male. She had not any kind of animal that had his color, the forest was all she knew. Humans she knew but hated them and would never go near them.
"What brings you all the way out here?" she asked as her ears flicked back and forth listening intently to her surroundings.
"Nice to meet you Lyca," he said softly as his forelegs kept his upper body erect. He regarded the she-wolf carefully. she didn't seem aggressive so that was good. of course he kept his own body posture non threatening as well. "And nothing really....just exploring."
He grinned at her.
"What about you? what brings you out here?" he inquired of her curiously cocking his head to the side as his duo colored eyes caught the sunlight. spring was here. the air took on a different scent and it smelled of flowers and perfume. he loved the spring. it was his favorite time of year. thankfully most of the snow had melted but there were still a few patches that remained behind.
food was plentiful now and he could go hunting easily and catch rabbits et cetera. His ears were lifted as he waited for her to respond again.
"So he doesn't know this pack land? Interesting..." she thought to herself.
She listened as he asked her what she was doing out here. Lyca felt like smiling but forced the urge down. Her ears flicked in his direction.
"I was out taking a walk and I thought I might do a little fishing while I was out. You're welcome to join me if you want to." Lyca said.
She stood waiting to hear his reply. The she-wolf had never fished with anyone before and she wasn't all that good at it herself but she never gave up in trying to catch a few fish here and there.
