The rain seemed to pour down like a waterfall from the sky. As far as she could see everything was wet. Mimi had just arrived at the abandoned airport yesterday night in search of shelter and she had managed to find little, having to settle at sleeping in an old box just big enough for her to fit in. Top her wet night's lodgings off with the fact that she had not eaten anything more then a stray cat in two days and Mimi felt low, very low.
She cast her browned eyed gaze out from under the over hang above the walkway and sniffed. It wasn't like she was searching for anything but it was something she had been known to do when she was with her human. Mimi growled at the memory of her owner. It wasn't like that anymore. He had died and the rest of the family had willingly forgotten about her. The female doberman was on her own now and she had to start acting like it. These last few days she had been sulking about with half a mind to go looking for some humans. A part of her truly wanted to believe that the humans were coming back but that side was slowly getting pushed down by a more feral side. This side told Mimi that she was on her own and she had to survive. Killing cats and birds was no longer something she could do at a leisurely pace.
" You have to depend on yourself now. " Mimi muttered to herself. She frowned at the torrent of rain and then moved toward a large box near one of the clear doors. Mimi circled three times and then lay down in the box once again.
