joel jogged calmly through the thick vegetation. ducking under a fallen log, and jumping gracefully over a few thick branches. she sighed in the thick pine smell. the musky scent coated her black and white fur, and her paws tingled from the sting of fresh snow and ice. only a few inches were covered, yet it still had a bite for the medium sized dog.
slowing to a brisk walk, her brown eyes glanced over the beautiful scenery. miles of forestry surrounded her, putting a nice barrier between the dog and the rest of silent grove. joel hated to admit it, but the slightly anti-social canine would rather spend time with her true friend clarice in the middle of the woods, then with any other alive animals.
her empty stomach moaned at the scent of an already deceased deer not far off. in normal circumstances she would turn away, but the hunger gnawed at her insides, and her mouth started to drool. "is it safe, clarice?" she asked the snowy white shepherd that stood beside her. of course to any other being it may appear she was crazy talking to thin air, but to the medium she was simply talking to her best friend, or rather sister, of whom had helped her accept her amazing gift.
pushing through the smooth breeze, she picked the scent of a doe, and tracked it. her hearing had started to diminish, but he nose still had it's undying talent. with her muzzle to the ground she was quick to locate the animal, and in one swift movement was by it's side. the whitetail deer's innocent brown eyes ate up the soul of the stabyhoun, as she gently gnawed on the meaty flesh. "dig in clarice," she told her shadowy friend, with a quick grin.
