Version Eight: Return from Ruin

Natural disaster; if that's what you can call the things that have happened to Haiki Mura in the last year. Diseased canines had raised quite a high death toll, but what they did not accomplish, the tsunami did. Leading a path of destruction through the villages, and leaving an immense amount of pain and suffering in its wake. Hidenka Village and Tetsu Village are now uninhabitable, as the flood water has ravished the land and leaving a marshy wetland behind. Even wolves and the queen of the Amazons have lost their territories. Trees block nearly any possible entrance into the once well known paths into the homes, forcing any canines once existing within the territories to seek shelter with their allies- or even their enemies; or travel to the Ruins and try to make it on your own. Overcrowding has become an issue, and in order to create a new way of life that involves any hope for peace, everyone must work together to find a way back into these once revered villages. But, only time can heal the wounds that mother nature created.
. . .
It was on the brink of a disaster that we really came back from it all. The villages had lain dormant and quiet for months. Was it a year even? No one can recall anymore. Too much fighting had gone on; too much heart-ache. Many had died, succumbing to the dangers that the disease had brought with the ship-wrecked dogs. Once they knew what the disease could do to the island, Aristides' canines were unstoppable. They had taken all that hard-earned work we'd put into building our packs, our homes, and brought it to shambles. They took so much, forcing wolves and dogs together; but eventually . . . we fought back. It is with heavy hearts that we've come home. The disease is no longer an issue, but the damage has been done. We've lost many and are only looking to re-settle- to survive again. It's been a rough year for all of us, but we've only come back stronger in the long run. We've got a big haul ahead of us. We have much to work for, much to fix. Can the once diseased live among us? Can we learn to trust them and work together? Only you can find out by becoming one of us. But be warned, our trust has diminished to nothing. We are exhausted and we are aggressive. What once was known by many is no more, we're all we've got and we're fighting hard to get back what we lost. Do you dare to chance your luck and join us? Fight for us, with us? We'll let you make that call.
