draven stalked up the steep incline. a strong wind was blowing her hair in all directions, and small tufts came loose from the struggle. the lynx sighed letting the frigid air fill her lungs, holding her breathe and waiting for the carbon dioxide to start to scream in burning in anguish before releasing the waste into the atmosphere. the cold causing her lungs to produce white clouds of fog in front of her.
she stopped perched at the edge of the cliff. this mountain was reported to be haunted by a white shadowy figure. she supposably threw herself off the edge of the steep hill and into the angry crashing waves below to her freezing doom. the big cat shivered at the thoughts, but she was silently quite pleased. those infected ridden humans deserve an evil death as did this women, she thought.
peering over the edge, she solemnly sat down gazing out of the water. jagged rocks perched in the foamy liquid, and the crashing rung in draven's ears, as she waited for the unknown.
Cerberus' ivory body moved like a ghost as he made his way up the cliffs. His twin harks were raised and he could hear the waves crashing below on the jagged rocks. The wolf's amber eyes scanned around, looking for any signs of life out here. He inhaled deeply.
he was out hoping to gather some members for his pack. He loved power and wealth and sough to control what went on in his city. this was his city. his terf. no one got in or out without his knowledge.
his tail flagged behind him, his soft white fur blowing softly in the winter breeze. The ground was cold and frozen and it stung his pads, but he ignored it. his coat let him blend in with the snow almost undetected. As he neared the cliff, his nose detected a feline scent. curiosity got the better of him and he spied a lynx sitting at the cliff, staring over the edge. he stopped and sat down, letting his knees turn out; forelegs keeping his upper body erect.
"Careful, that's a long drop," he said smoothly as he sat there, keeping his body posture proud and with authority and power.
she was completely mesmerized at the rocking beat of the waters movement, that she didn't even notice the strange dog come up behind her. her pointed ears perked the males charming voice, as she turned her head ever so slightly to reveal her golden tinted eyes. she showed no emotion as she replied, just as smoothly. "should i be concerned?" her velvet vocals rung clear over the crashing coming from below.
turning slightly to face out into the horizon, as so to block her face from this stranger, she continued. "and what brings a fellow like you out here?" she purred. finally getting up she gracefully turned to face the white figure.
his stance showed that of superiority, and she cocked her eyebrow. oh! the joy she got from showing up a complete stranger, and she didn't think he would be an exception. most dogs, thought they would better than the feline, but she was one to show them out. draven wasn't one to lose, and so her competitive nature often drove her to extreme circumstances sometimes consisting of giving them a run for their money.
fiesty described the delicate lynx, as she paraded with pure confidence over to where he sat. "i'm draven," she spook in her genuinely sexy tone. the golden specks in her eyes tracing every hair on the male dogs body. he was muscled, and would probably out weigh her, but she had a secret weapon very few knew about. not only does she have large claws, and the jaw to rip open live flesh, but she was trained to kill.
Cerberus smirked and kept his body in the same position. He wasn't going to let some female show him up, let alone a feline at that.
"A little. You wouldn't land in one piece...even if you are a kitty," he grinned at her and then looked her over. "What brings you up here today?"
He yawned, letting his salmon pink tongue curl back into his maw as his jaws snapped shut. His amber gold eyes remained on the lynx, curious as to why she was up here too. Him? Well he just wanted some alone time, but he was hoping to gain some more members to his pack. He didn't think this feline would join a pack of canines, and possibly other species, but perhaps she could be an ally in what he had had in mind. So his hopes were there.
"nice to meet you draven," he grinned at her. "Care to take a little stroll with me?" he asked.
"i should ask the same of you," she said, deflecting his question completely. stretching out, her pink tongue lolled out of her mouth in a large yawn. a small twitch in her ears, as she strode closer to the strange male. his white pelt was as crystal clear as the snow that surrounded the two on the cliff's edge.
"i wish i could say the same about you,' she scolded with a cunning grin toying on the feline's lips, she continued. "not particularly. and if you don't mind me asking, who are you?" she purred. her thin eyebrow formed and arch, her head cocked slightly, she stared fearlessly into the dog's cold amber eyes, with her own piercing pupils.
"Well miss draven, i am the ruler of the hollywood luxes. We are a mafia pack that want to rule the city. I'd like to get rid of those other two ridiculous and insignificant packs, but i'm not sure if i can do that alone," he said his amber eyes glinting with malice and cruelty. his ivory coat nearly blended in with the snow so he was pretty much like a ghost passing through the city. he would be able to blend in without a problem and no one would ever see him coming.
"me? I'm just out here exploring really," Cerberus said shrugging a furry shoulder. "In the city it tends to get rather tedious when there's no one else that could possibly share your ideals...ya know?" he asked tilting his head to the side as he waited for the feline Draven to respond. His ears were pricked forward attentively.
draven stood now, not far from this white canine. his scent pierced her nose, as she strode just a little closer. her canines and claws were prepared in case he decided to attack with her nearing proximity, but she decided to not challenge the male. he seemed to be an alright companion for the sadistic feline.
"that must be tiring work, looking after a bunch of naive pups," she commented. letting her slight insult sink in, she sat mere inches from the dog. her amber eyes glistened, and the tufts of her ears motored in each direction, as she looked for any others that may be lurking. the lynx was independent, but not stupid. it was rare to see an alpha leave his pack grounds, at least without about ten other sacrifices surrounding him, as if they believed they could save their leader from a ferocious feline, as cunning as draven.
to draven the life in a group never appealed to her. she never wanted to depend on anyone else, as they were bound to disappoint in tough circumstances, as few had before to the cat. the only one she trusted was her beloved brother, but even then she still had her doubts. it was one of the main factors that kept her from finding a mate. sure, sometimes she yearned for the appreciation and love of a male, but the loss of them breaking your heart was to strong for even this ferocious feline to bare. it saddened her to think she would never find 'that special someone' as cliche as it sounds, but she did feel alone or rather alienated at times, as everyone else ran around with young offspring.
she flicked her gaze to look straight into his eyes, as she waited for him to do something. her body gently quivered, for the anticipation that he may chose to attack. her mouth pooled with saliva, as the thought of how good his warm blood would taste in her mouth. in was nothing against the strange dog, but just rather her nature. draven was born, and forever would be a killer.
